Designer bio
Sara Mullen is the designer and maker behind Purlfolk. She's been a crafter for as long as she can remember—while her mediums and styles have evolved over the years, the drive to create has always been a constant. Since becoming a mom, she's found particular joy in designing knitwear for children. It all began with a few tiny sweaters she made for her newborn son, sparked by the kind encouragement and compliments from nurses who noticed them. Designing for little ones gives her the freedom to explore playful colour combinations and imaginative styles on a smaller scale. She draws inspiration from music, pop culture, storybooks, and all things retro. She loves to create pieces that embrace everyday whimsy—made to be loved, worn, and passed down.
